Questions

Update

Please refer to your appropriate age level below for extra details. Below are bullets that apply to every team at every level. If your player is playing high school next season this league is not appropriate.

  1. NO REFUNDS ONCE THE ICE AND JERSEYS HAVE BEEN PURCHASED. This has already happened for the 2023 season.
  2. WAVIERS - All players must sign a waiver prior to your first ice hour, please email them to springhockey@gmail.com. No physical copies will be provided or accepted. If you registered a team, you have electronically signed this for your whole team. Please ensure they are aware of this.
  3. BYOP (Bring your own pucks)
  4. All first ice hours are NOT games they are split practices at all levels, how those coaches choose to use that ice is up to them. But they will appear as a game on the schedule.
  5. If you registered as a team but didn't include a roster, there are no players listed on your team page.
  6. We are using Polar arena for all ice times.
  7. Each team should provide one person to help run the penalty box for all games.  One person can run the clock while the other helps with the penalty box doors.  (no scorebook needed)
  8. Please don't post scores if the game becomes too lopsided.  In those situations, please do what you can to even the games out and keep things respectable.
  9. When jerseys come in we will email the league, each team will need to go to Strauss and pick them up, they have been bagged and designated for each team.
  10. If you need a goalie please try and identify a fill in through the spring league team or contact me and I can assist. If your team doesn't have a goalie at the first practice contact me and we will get you a goalie. If your child is a goalie and would like to help other teams without a goalie, please reply to this email. (no extra charge)
  11. Coaches, parents please if your team is in need of a coach step up! no previous experience is really required and maybe a chance for those typical coaches to be spectators if they can handle that.

Bantam/Peewee/Squirt

  1. All games will have referees, in the instance a ref does not show for whatever reason we would suggest a coach having skates and whistle from each team as we won't reschedule.
  2. HAVE FUN

Hi Parents, Coaches and Managers:

For those not familiar with the "Original Spring League", it is a fun league for Mites, Squirts, Peewees  and Bantams. The season begins with 1 practice followed by 11 games. The League starts the at the end of March and will end in early May. Dates will vary by team.

Does your child have any friends or relatives that play at the same level in a different association? If so, this is a great opportunity for them to play on the same team. This league is NOT limited to JCNSP players.

Questions regarding the league can be sent to: springhockey@gmail.com
