In order to facilitate a safe playing atmosphere, JCNSP Hockey will be using the following protocols for all warm-up and tryout ice times. Please note that some of these points may differ from our JCNSP Covid Guidelines for League Games and Practices. All points listed are subject to change based on MN Hockey, State, and Local guidelines.
A safe and fun year of hockey is our mission. Please help us by reading the attached Covid Plans and information below. Following these guidelines is imperative to keeping the 2020-21 Polar Devil season on track.
Parents of players must complete JCNSP Home Screening each day, prior to attending the specified ice hour for your child. JCNSP Covid Home Screening Link
Players will not be allowed into the arena until 20 minutes before the stated ice time.
Players will enter the arena through the lobby entrance only.
Players must wear a mask or face covering to enter the arena AND at all times when not on the ice.
Players must come to the rink wearing all gear except helmet, skates, and gloves or must put on all their gear in the parking lot with the exception of the noted items.
Players must complete in person health screening before being allowed entry to the arena.
Parent or guardian of the player must not leave until the player has been cleared for entry to the arena.
If a player does not pass this screening stage, they will be sent home with further instructions.
Players will then be directed to a team area for final changing before ice time.
Players may bring their own FILLED water bottle labeled with the players name. Drinking fountains will NOT be open.
No food allowed.
No parents or guardians will be allowed into the arena during warm-ups and tryouts unless:
The player is 10 years of age or under AND needs direct assistance in getting ready to get on the ice and
the parent or guardian has been screened for entry and
the parent or guardian has a mask or face covering and wears it at all times inside the arena while practicing social distancing and
the parent or guardian leaves the arena immediately after completing steps to get the player on the ice.
In the event a player has a specific medical diagnosis that requires a parent or guardian to be available, please contact the JCNSP Covid Director.
Players will exit the ice upon completion of their ice hour and will return to the designated area to remove skates, helmets, and gloves.
Players will exit the arena no later than 10 minutes after posted ice hour ends, via the marked exit doors.
Parents should be ready to pick up their players at that time.
Parents and players are asked to take steps to clean/disinfect their gear each day.
